There are a couple of ways to go about getting discounts from your favorite retailers.
If you're an avid shopper of specific stores, always ask to be added to their mailing list. Many times, that will include mention of an email address. Or, visit their online stores and sign up.
Say you have a big camping trip planned, and you know you'll need to stock up on inexpensive t-shirts and last minute camping apparel. Visit the usual stores online, instead of going to mall, and get a REI Coupon or Old Navy coupon to receive discounts via email and snail mail.
