The Internet is a great way to save money. When you're shopping online, it's not a bad idea to check the box that asks if you want to receive gifts and updates from this retailer. Many of them offer online-only savings and coupons for shopper. But be careful that you read the fine print. Some coupons, including major retailers Eddie Bauer and Foot Locker are only discounting or eliminating shipping charges. If this is the case, you may not be saving any more money than if you had bought the item at the mall.
